What A Wonderful Waste
‘What a wonderful world’ sings about ‘skies of blue’ and ‘trees of green’. But as we rapidly hurtle towards potential climate doom, things are looking a little less rosy. The good news? We get to choose whether our world is a waste, or wonderful. But we must start sharing more, and wasting less.
In this campaign for the free sharing app OLIO, aimed at tackling the planet-sized problem of household waste, we hit parents with something they actually care about - their kids. We dropped a bunch of sprogs (consensually) onto a real landfill in Wales to sing ‘What a Wonderful World’. The result was this spooky dystopian TV spot.
Cherry on the cake was winning the Sky Net Zero Sustainability fund, meaning they fronted £250k in free media to support the campaign
